When did you believe in yourself the most?
When my dad and I talked about core qualities years ago, (everybody has several, but it’s hard to find out yourself) and I got a better view of what kind of people and work would suit me the best.
I like to work with people. My camera is really a tool to get in touch with people, to make them feel comfortable, to have the best conversations, and to explore the world. To make people happy with an image that will stay on their retina for decades and to combine my point of view on aesthetics and branding and to deliver images that are different than usually. Believing in yourself is to discover what suits you best and where you can develop a better you.
What advice would you have given yourself ten years ago / What advice would you give your future self?
Just enjoy the ride, get in touch with people, ask yourself why you make the choices, book the ticket and be kind to people. The world is big but at the same time so crazy small, you’ll meet the person you’re looking at again at some point in life. It could be your direct colleague or your client.
What is the best thing about wearing Matinique?
It’s timeless, and by getting older you don’t want to be on trend. You just want to be classic, classy, and comfortable with yourself. Matinique is like a good old Negroni. Sticking to the OG’s is always the best.
What is never out of style?
A black suit or an oversized woollen shirt and combine it with a nice hat or beanie and boots.
