When did you believe in yourself the most?
I do remember one thing – when I became a mom for the first time and my baby was still alive after 24 hours. I knew then that whatever would happen in the future we would make it.

Which Matinique item in your wardrobe holds a special story - and why?
That’s a hard one. It must be my black velvet blazer that my husband ended up wearing at our wedding. I always wear oversize and I had never used it. Like I in mind I knew it was waiting to be used on a special day.

How can clothing express your personality?
It can be done in many ways. Like when I do big commercial shoots with more demands than normal, I always wear a blazer oversize with jeans/pants and sneakers, it’s my go to look. I love ‘one-in-two’ outfits. A suit with a t-shirt and then for evening switch sneakers to heels. Then I can go from work to event. I’m practical and my person is chill, it’s my signature in my wardrobe and expression. The most important thing for me is that I’m comfortable.

What do you dream of?
Like everyone else, peace in the world. For now, it’s just my new home in Paris, and more work where I combine working with shelters, red cross, and styling. A documentary about the violence that are against vulnerable families in the system is my next project. It has been a dream of mine for a long time.
